Role: Mechanical Engineer -analysis

Industry: Oil and Gas, Process & Flow

Location: Montrose

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 (Permanent)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering team of a specialist provider of skid mounted process and flow systems for the Oil and Gas industry.

You will be well versed in Oil and Gas systems and mechanical engineering calculations with this role having a large emphasis on structures, pipework and packaged components.

The role will involve the following activities:

• Produce and check Mechanical engineering documentation & deliverables for packaged modules & standalone structures and pipework
• Develop calculations, design and sketches of structures and piping lines within the package
• Analyse client's requirements and technical specifications, providing technical solutions
• Ensure all deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements
• Contribute to the investigation, resolution and documentation of Engineering Queries in a timely and technically acceptable fashion
• Participate in internal design review meetings
• Ensure that document numbering and revision control procedure is conformed to
• Preparation and checking of Technical Requisition documents
• Assist in the preparation of Technical Requisitions for any 3rd party design review
• Report any design changes
• Attend and participate in client meetings

As an experience Mechanical Engineer, you will be capable of using and achieving:

• Autodesk Design suites
• Pressure Vessel, pipework and structural analysis calculations - Software preferred - (Caesar II and SAFI)
• Pressure containment codes (ASTM, PED, PD5500, ASME and EN)
