Parcel Team Leader

Bullingdon, Bicester

My client is a leading provider of logistics and Parcel throughout the world.

They have a contract to provide parcel support for HMP Service and have an onsite delivery office in Bullingdon Prison.

Scope of Role

  • Ensure that all daily duties, procedures and processes are completed and adhered to on a day to day basis to ensure a high level of service is received by the customer.
  • Managing a team of prisoners as appropriate by ensuring that each team member has the skill required to carry out their job role.
  • Full compliance to all Health and Safety regulations, ensuring that all Health & Safety policies and procedures within their areas of responsibility are complied with and fully maintained. Report any and all accidents and near misses to the Warehouse Man
  • Assist in coordinating your team to accomplish the weekly processing, picking, packing, and the dispatch of orders to prisoners.
  • Ensure orders are completed and distributed within the agreed times.
  • Comply with all Prison Service regulations, including security.
  • Ensure all delivery queries are dealt with using the applicable process and reported to Workshop Manager/Supervisors.
  • Ensure all relevant DHL operational documents are completed accurately/timely.
  • Handling stock with care and consideration to minimize damages.
  • Ensure the returns procedure is followed in the event of stock being damaged or an unfulfilled order at distribution.
  • Observe DHL personal and product hygiene requirements in line with legislation at all times, and adopt a "clean as you go" attitude within the work environment.
  • Ensure agreed KPI's are met.
  • Plan resources to ensure activities on shift are achieved
  • Flexing/re allocating resources / activity based on real time analysis of real time information to ensure that the shift completes all assigned tasks on time and in excess of minimum key performance indicators and quality standards.
  • Measuring and reviewing shift warehouse performance against company / customer KPI's and service targets, implement appropriate actions to seek continuous improvement.
