An excellent opportunity with a well-established Machine Tool Manufacturer. My client has built themselves a well-respected, worldwide reputation and managed to maintain this.

They are recruiting for a Service Engineer where you will need a relevant qualification and some experience in:

• Fault Finding
• Service/Maintenance Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Working with mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.

After a structured training programme, your main job role will be visiting customer sites throughout a specified geographical area and installing, servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical / electrical repair work on my client's range of CNC Punch Press and Press Brake machinery and associated CNC equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Installation of equipment at customers' sites in the UK
• Training customer in operation, maintenance and safety aspects
• Regular routine service of machines and associated equipment
• Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns
• Promote tooling sales and sales of maintenance contracts
• Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment

Required Skills and Attributes

• B-TEC 3, NVQ 3-4, HNC or HND in engineering

Apprenticeship served would be great

• Understanding of electrical / electronic / hydraulic and mechanical drawings and systems
• Enthusiastic and self- motivated
• Smart and professional presentation
• Ability to work alone and under pressure
• Ability to communicate in all situations at all levels of an organisation
• Full UK driving licence
