Mechanical Fitter

I am currently recruiting for a mechanical fitter for my client based in the Birmingham area. Due to a growing order book my client, a repairer and restorer bespoke manufacturing machinery are looking to add to their team.

Your role as a mechanical fitter should you be successful will involve:

• Identifying faults with, repairing and testing pieces of equipment.
• Manufacturing equipment and machines of a bespoke nature from unique customer requirements.
• Assembly and wiring of Electrical Control Panels using drawings and circuit diagrams.
• General Fabrication
• Carrying out general good housekeeping duties in the workshop.

The successful mechanical fitter will possess:

• Experience in an Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Maintenance related background.
• Display high levels of initiative and problem solving acumen.
• Show great organisation and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
• The ability to effectively prioritise a changing workload and tasks of varying urgencies to meet deadlines.
• Show that they are a self-motivated and driven individual who can excel under pressure.
• Engage with others when working in a team to achieve a common goal.
