Position: LCV Mechanic
Location: Romsey
Start Date: ASAP

Client

Our client SHB is a national vehicle rental business who are looking to recruit a LCV Mechanic to join their Romsey team.

Role

The main responsibility in this role will be the maintenance and repair of a wide range of fleet vehicles.

Essential Skills include:

• Mechanical or electrical qualifications
• A minimum of one year's commercial experience working as a Vehicle Technician
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 3, City Guilds Level 3, IMI Level 3, SVQ Level 3 or extensive experience working on a wide range of LCVs
• English at communicative level

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance of a fleet of vehicles
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions
• Repair and maintenance of: electrical systems, alignments, steering and suspension, hydraulic systems, cooling and heating systems and drive train components
• Perform scheduled maintenance services
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Road tests vehicles when required
• Keeps shop area neat and clean after each repair
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Must be willing and able to work overtime when required

• 40 hr week basic

• Shift: Days only
• No call outs
• Sat mornings 0600/ noon week about mandatory or every weekend if desired
• Depot open 0600-1800 Mon/Fri Sat 0600/noon
