Purpose

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Master Scheduler will be responsible for the planning function onsite. The Master Scheduler will be required to create and maintain the Master Production Schedule ensuring that the plan meets customer requirements and production capabilities.

Duties

• Creating and maintain the Master Production Schedule.
• Collect, analyse, anticipate and manage issues within the Planning team
• Leadership of the Planning professionals to deliver the objectives of the business unit
• Work alongside the Customer Services team and visit customers when required.
• Conduct weekly and monthly meeting with members of the planning team to run through the Master Production Schedule.
• Look into the root cause analysis should there be a deviation to the plan and notify senior management with corrective action to avoid recurrence.
• Create capacity plans which meet business targets and optimise manufacturing efficiency and costs

Experience and Qualifications

• APICS or equivalent experience is desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience of managing a team
• Logical and structured thinker, capable of thinking about the bigger picture and with talent and experience in scheduling, forecasting and modelling
