An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a successful market leading engineering company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their factory. It is essential that you have good numeracy and the confidence to work in a fast moving, sometimes high pressure, environment and make decisions "on your feet". This is very much a hands-on role.

The applicant must have proven stores/stock experience and have some understanding of stock control systems, with an eye for the detail and be able to think outside the box in terms of space management. The Warehouse Supervisor is also, responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping standards and for continuous improvement within the warehouse.

The day to day duties for the Stores Manager position to include:

• Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the Stores Department to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
• Effectively control operations within the stores
• Working with both purchasing and the shop floor to ensure all items are efficiently delivered and distributed
• Produce accurate stock records and improve stock accuracy across the department
• Define and document processes and procedures for the department to follow
• Supervise all resources allocated to the stores
• Ensure the stores are organised to a high standard
• Stock control & Job Parts Kitting
• Good communication skills with the other departments
• Responsibility for receiving/supervising and checking material deliveries, identifying and booking into stock or allocate to operations
