HR Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a successful Manufacturing company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their business. They require a HR Manager to oversee all Human Resource areas within the business.

We are looking for a HR Manager who ideally has the following skills and experience:

Primary Role

  • Line manage, guide and develop the HR Administrator
  • Lead in the implementation of a new IFS HR Integrated System
  • Plan & Lead the transfer and induction of 175 personnel from the existing site in Cheltenham to new site in Gloucester Spring to summer (2018).
  • Manage and run all operational HR programmes including recruitment, benefits, performance management, training and development
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to managers regarding short and long-term absence
  • Spend time to coach and guide managers with departmental restructures, investigations, disciplinary and grievances
  • Ensure all HR policies remain up to date, reflect best practice and are consistently applied across the business. Provide effective coaching to managers to assist them to understand and implement HR policies and processes.
  • Develop and produce timely and accurate reports on key HR trends and statistics, recommending areas for further action as appropriate
  • Work in partnership with Directors and Senior Managers to challenge, debate and move forward the HR agenda

Key skills:

  • Be CIPD qualified or have the equivalent experience
  • Have a solid understanding of, and an interest in keeping up to date with employment legislation and its practical application
  • Have a hands-on approach with an in-depth knowledge of HR policies and procedures across all HR disciplines
  • Be able to advise and influence management on all employee performance issues and quickly build relationships through excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of managing and developing staff
  • Be self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Be sensitive yet confident to tackle difficult and complex situations
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
