An opportunity exists for a Purchasing Manager to join the Purchasing team in an exciting period of growth. Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director, the post holder will manage the company's Procurement needs and seek out the best quality products, goods and services for the company at the most competitive prices. The role will be to manage, coach, and develop the Purchasing team.

Job Specification

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that the company has a very clear strategy when purchasing goods and services in line with the business plan.

Leads & delivers the procurement objectives.

Manages risk within the business.

Manages supplier selection, performance and relationships.

Manage the internal procurement systems and the data within them.

Responsible for developing a core team of skilled purchasing staff to deliver the requirements.

Embeds the procurement function with all aspects of the organisation.

Adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin's ISO13485 QMS & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820.

Ensure that process & timeline requirements for Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and in support of Global Objectives for CAPA.

Developing a cohesive department that is responsible for procuring the best quality products, goods and services at the most competitive prices in a timely fashion.

Person Specification

Highly organised individual with excellent written and oral communication skills supported by good PC skills.

Natural leadership skills.

Understanding of a manufacturing / engineering purchasing environment specifically in a highly regulated industry.

Proactive self-starter, used to multitasking using own initiative.

Proven experience of development and management of supplier performance.

Good interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills.

Excellent organisational and planning skills, flexible and able to deal with conflicting priorities.
