Software Engineer

The position of Software Engineer exists for a candidate to join a growing team in some of the worlds most attractive industries.

Duties of the role;

• Producing Software Development Plans for the business and for individual projects
• Producing Software Engineering quotations and estimates based on concepts and more formal requirement sets
• Software architecture, designing software systems around complex requirement sets
• Definition of appropriate hardware requirements from the software performance expectations
• Detailed design of complex software code
• Detailed software coding in other languages appropriate to embedded systems and simple logic controllers
• Documentation of software solutions to IEEE standards including test methods for the software

As the position progresses there will become opportunities to contribute to;

• Quote estimation, planning and quote writing
• Planning and Management of software engineering resources on each project in conjunction with the Engineering Manager
• Effective communication and regular status reporting

Requirements of the candidate;

• Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline (preferable Software Engineering)
• Communication - the ability to communicate clearly with customers, colleagues, managers, and suppliers.
• Software skills - C++, C, C#, .Net, OS manipulation and software System Integration
