Stores Manager

Overview

Our client are an electronics company who manufacture items for the oil and gas industry. They are looking for a stores manager to oversee the stock control, inbound and outbound goods, liaising with clients and organising orders and stock.

Details

• Creation of purchase orders
• Maintain PO reports.
• Negotiating with vendors for best quality and price
• Maintain vendor/supplier relationships and accounts
• Seek new vendors and suppliers for second source where required
• Responsible for the day to day activities of the stores; from receipt of raw materials through to the dispatch of finished goods. Maintain accurate records and

kit materials.

• Maintain accurate stock records
• Ensure good housekeeping and area is kept safe and tidy.
• Ensure storage of components is maintained to a high standard and safely stored
• Prepare paperwork for sub-contract work. Ensuring correct issues of Bills of

Materials, Assembly drawings and kit lists

• Progress suppliers as and when necessary.
• Monitor stock receipts on our system
• Check incoming goods against delivery notes and for accuracy and damages
• Enter delivery notes onto company system promptly and accurately
• Unpack and check all goods in a timely manner
• Notify courier of damaged goods
• Move stock to desired locations
• Ensure all stock movement is accurately recorded
• Check products are packed to customer requirements
• Arrange shipping
• Handle electrostatic sensitive devices
• Maintain systems to ISO 9001 standards

All other duties as assigned

Skills

• Required
• PC literate with Strong Ms EXCEL skills
• Strong attention to detail
• String analytical skills
• Experience in manual handling of goods
• Ability to prioritise.
• Tactful strong and confident approach.
• Strong diplomatic skills
• Hold a driving licence.
