The Role

To act as the Internal Sales Supervisor for the Performance and Motorsport Division at Goodridge UK.

Key Responsibilities

The company has a wide range of customer specific requirements within the OEM, performance and motorsport divisions. The applicant is required to support colleagues internally and externally to ensure full customer satisfaction is always achieved to the highest standard. This role requires the candidate to be able to work on their own and as part of a small team to ensure the key objectives within the Performance and Motorsport Department are achieved.

The successful candidate must be able to: -

  • Manage the internal sales process from order receipt to invoice of goods, Including supervising of Technical Sales Assistants.
  • Ensure the smooth and timely transfer of customer purchase order requirements onto the internal MRP / ERP system.
  • Requirement on occasion to visit customers with the respective Account and Sales Mangers.
  • To identify areas in need of improvement and formulate a plan to enable this.
  • Exhibiting at shows - up to five weekends per annum.
  • To receive and pro-actively make telephone calls to deliver customer satisfaction, service and technical assistance.
  • Co-ordinate new customer projects working with the relevant departments.
  • Key role in meeting and exceeding sales budgets.
  • To support team members on or off-site with project lead information, details, updates and planning.
  • To ensure all internal departments are aware of forward and changing customer requirements.
  • To ensure internal and external resources have full and complete information to perform effectively.
  • Account management assistance - Internal and possible external visits.
  • Ensuring changing customer expectations are recorded and administered correctly.
  • An apportioned amount of credit return management, data entry and customer query.
  • Ensuring compliance to company best practice and professional customer contact and presentation.
  • Compile and issue customer quotations, updates, communications if required.
  • Setting up and maintaining new final assembly and sub-assembly part numbers, when required.
  • Keep databases up to date with contact details and correspondence.

The ideal candidate will be professional both internally and externally; constantly striving to improve efficiencies within the P&M team

Excellent standards of communication, initiative and relations with all other departments are achieved.

The position holder understands and then carries out plans and objectives agreed with their line manager.

A satisfactory performance is reached to maximize work output.

Reporting to be legible, illuminating, professional and data driven.

Always working towards achieving above and beyond customer expectations internally and externally.

Experience

A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.

Education

Good level education in Math's and English.

Full time

Travel

This position may require some travel in the UK and Internationally.

Reporting

This person will operationally and functionally report to the P&M Business Unit Manager.

This role is subject to flexible working hours to suit the commercial requirements of the company. This role may be developed / changed and as and when necessary amended to consider changes within the organization in line with the company's goals, objectives and contractual and legal obligations.
