North East - Location flexible with 3 days in Office (Paid Accomodation)/2 days Home Working

My client is a leading engineering design, manufacturing, and installation company with global heritage based in the North East. The company are looking for a Head of Marketing.

Role Profile:

  • To provide marketing collateral, communication, content for all social media / press and industry requirements.
  • To provide and maintain standard on corporate logo and branding
  • To collaborate with related bodies / organisations to maximise positive exposure for company's capabilities
  • Working with the PR agency and to create newsworthy stories for local and trade publications. Including contract awards, project updates and completions.
  • Create technical case studies/datasheets for projects in progress through to completion, to demonstrate capabilities and highlight key achievements. Capturing photography at each stage.
  • Deliver engaging video content, growing position on YouTube.
  • Create company and tailored sales presentations to support the management teams as required.
  • Manage website content through CMS, google analytics and reporting.
  • Manage Search Engine Optimisation, to maximise company's web-positioning.
  • Deliver PPC campaigns in a targeted and cost-effective way.
  • To continually develop client facing content to our tender, presentations, brochureware, communication vehicles
  • Manage production of the internal quarterly newsletter and project update document, collation of all relevant information, design and delivery of finished product.
  • Take responsibility for archiving project, working with external companies to arrange the digitising of current archive material, and arrange for transportation and appropriate storage of paper-based system.
  • Work with the social media agency to create and post relevant content in order to maximise coverage and raise brand awareness. Report on a monthly basis on results.
  • Create a calendar of potential awards submissions based around projects and people. Liaise with relevant personnel internally and externally to manage submissions in a timely manner.
  • Develop sales collateral as required.
  • Plan and manage events, both internal and external, including company fun day and range of trade exhibitions.
  • Develop and deliver broad suite of internal marketing communications.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of operating at managerial level within a B2B industrial marketing role.
  • An understanding of the building / construction products sector would be a distinct advantage.
  • A strong appreciation of digital marketing and the ability to liaise effectively with PR agencies, web development and content management agencies, SEO agencies and social media agencies.
  • Strong IT competence and the ability to produce quality presentations on PowerPoint.
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills and the ability to adapt style to suit different audiences effectively.
