Product Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity to join a global manufacturing business, as Product Sales Manager, covering North America, Asia and Pacific regions.
My client seek an experienced candidate to drive forward the sales of their products to a wide range of customers throughout the aforemention region.
A mixture of new business sales, and existing client development are paramount in the success of this position.
Key duties of the role;
- In conjunction with the Sales Director contribute in the formulation of the sales 'bookings' budget.
- Identify potential new customers, programmes, products and markets.
- Plan visit campaigns to maximise number of contacts and efficiency of travel
- Maximise number of value add visits
- Keep abreast of market trends (both technical & economic)
- Work closely with applicable regionally based sales managers and Sales Channels as well as market sales leads
- Ensure New Business Generation Targets are achieved
- Negotiate internally to maximise margins. Conduit between business and customer to support negotiations with customer sales price and T&C's.
- Identify and advise the Sales Director and Senior Management of all new market opportunities, technologies, potential products and services.
- Communicate and appraise Sales Director and Senior Management of all current market and competitive issues
- Produce company reports, as required.
- Maintain, in conjunction with regional sales, opportunities in area of responsibility in CRM system.
- Provide accurate and timely monthly forecasts for all North America and APAC opportunities.
- Proactively manage new customer expectations through established processes.
- Assist with the company marketing and sales promotion activities, seminars, trade shows etc.
Requirements of the candidate;
- Qualified to HND / Degree level or equivalent in electronic or similar area
- 5 years minimum experience of sales and business planning
- Experienced in Field Sales.
- Knowledge of Sales strategies and tactics
- Understanding in the supply of electronic components
- Understanding of high reliability electronics manufacturing
- Knowledge and contacts in various electronics markets including Defence, Civil Aerospace, Space and Oil & Gas
