Job: Conformance Inspector
Location: Greenford
Contract: 6 Months FTC
Working hours: 39 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure production goods are inspected to Controls' defined standard.
- Ensure all non-conforming material is rejected and complete all rejection documentation
- Maintaining the Inspection Product History records
- Provide support to QA and Procurement to follow through quality issues to resolution
- Booking in and verification of material and supporting documentation
- Verify FAIRs to support development and new product activities
- Final receipt of 'inspection passed' production material
- Ensure all inspected production material is stored correctly and that the required standards of location control and lot/serial traceability are maintained
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and completed in accordance with company procedures
- To actively contribute to improvement initiatives, and make recommendations where appropriate, to maintain high levels of control and efficiency
- Identification and utilisation of appropriate inspection aids and techniques
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Inspection experience in an electronics and/or mechanical environment
- Ability to read and understand design drawings and specifications
- Able to operate / programme CMM machine ( verify key dimensions)
- Experience in managing their daily key activities to achieve timescales to quality
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Experience of liaising with internal and external customers
- Plans work and delivers on time and maintain departmental KPIs
- Booking in incoming material on IFS and process onto Inspection or Stores
Desirable
- Has worked in an Aerospace Organisation
- Knowledge of problem solving tools such as 8D or Six Sigma
Qualifications:
ONC, City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline
