Paint Sprayer

We are currently looking for a qualified Paint Sprayer to work with an important and globally recognised Automotive Manufacturing company to join the Final Quality Assurance Team at their manufacturing plant in Swindon.

Initially joining on a 6 month FTC with the possibility of going permanent, the main purpose of your role will be to provide support to the other sprayers in the team in reducing stock levels.

You will play a pivotal role within a team that is responsible for ensuring that customers only receive the highest quality products from the manufacturing plant.

This role will be shift work, a weekly rotation of earlies (5.30am to 2.30pm) and lates (3.30pm to 12.30am)

Main responsibilities:

  • Repairing, prepping and masking interior shuts, frames and exterior panels

  • Prepping and masking vehicles in preparation for spray

  • Spraying and lamp the vehicles interior and exterior panels in readiness for them to be polished

  • Mixing materials and maintaining all work equipment such as spray guns

  • Complying to all PPE requirements

  • Maintaining good 5s

To be considered for the position of Paint Sprayer you must have/be:

  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Paint or equivalent

  • Experience in preparing and masking vehicles

  • Proven experience of mixing paints and primers

  • Knowledge of how to apply correct colour matching techniques

  • Skilled in applying refinish materials and spraying small and large repairs

  • Full driving licence

It would be a distinct advantage to have:

  • Understanding of how to polish repairs

  • Experience of using refinish material and experience in a body shop
