Project Planner

An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a market leading Aerospace Manufacturer that are offering a stable and lucrative career within their business. They require a Project Planner Manager to take responsibility for compiling specific business reports, measures of performance, and customer deliverables associated with the System Development, Qualification, Demonstration and Initial Production phases of the project.

The successful candidate for Project Planner will be highly motivated with a background in Aerospace, Engineering and or Manufacturing. The successful candidate will support the Programme Management team to support the business and customer reporting systems associated with the System Development, Qualification, Demonstration and Initial Production phases of the project

We are looking for a Project Planner to be responsible for

Maintaining, updating and reporting status of the Project timeline.

Tracking Customer and Supplier deliverables

Understanding and challenging reasons for any changes to plans and ensuring any update of plans/trackers/MOPs

Ensuring all members of the team understands the detailed tasks assigned to them and the committed dates

Ensuring plans/MOPs/trackers are sent to management team on a regular basis to facilitate decisions

Producing and maintaining project measures of performance (MOP's).

Ensuring visual management is kept up to date.

Providing administration assistance to the Programme Management Team.

Ensuring all plans/MOPS/Trackers are accurate and reflect the current Project Status

Resolving any detailed discrepancies with Customer/Suppliers on status of plan/MOPS/Trackers

The successful candidate for Project Planner will ideally have the following skills

Good organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail

Excellent working knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel

Good communication and interpersonal skill's

Highly motivated and able to assert self within team environment

A background in Aerospace, Engineering and or Manufacturing would be advantageous but not essential
