Profile

Our client is an established training solutions provider working in the defence/aerospace industry. After a substantial contract win they are looking to supplement their Operations team with experienced and confident Wireman.

Job Role

The Wireman shall work as part of production team and be responsible for the electrical manufacture activities in accordance with production build work packs and build schedules; performing electrical manufacture activities.

Duties

• Performing manufacturing activities in accordance with work packs comprising detailed drawings or specifications, and following instruction.
• Manufacture of cable looms and harnesses.
• Construction of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and machinery/equipment.
• Performing electrical systems installation.
• Performing sub-assembly testing, commissioning and acceptance testing activities.

Experience/Qualifications

• Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Be skilled in the use of common electrical wiring, assembly and test tools e.g. soldering irons, hot air guns, crimp tools, multimeters, etc.
• Logical approach to fault finding and diagnosis.
• Commitment to quality, care of product and attention to detail.
• Ability to consistently apply safe working practice with a high regard to own and others' safety and to maintain a clean work environment.
