CAD Technician

position description

Leading and rapidly expanding company within the utilities and construction sector looking to take on CAD technicians. It is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the fastest growing utility companies in the UK.

The CAD Technician will be reporting to Design and Planning Manager,

• Production of CAD drawings to high quality standards
• Coordinating with other CAD technician in the production of drawings
• Ability to understand and apply design within the remit of individual projects
• Able to develop expertise in the design area
• Ensure all work is undertaken with company and customer requirements and procedures
• Planning and undertaking inspections and surveys of electrical installations following safe procedures.

Previous Experience of working within:

• CAD Skills
• Microsoft Projects
• Distribution environment
• General Health and Safety awareness
• Understanding Utility Plans
• Electrical safety
• Understanding of COSHH

Qualifications:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Problem solver and solution provider
• Ability to work effectively within a team, with good communication skills
