I have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to join a successful leading manufacturer.

As Account Manager you will be responsible for the sales and marketing activity of the company products within your defined geographical area. The main objective is to maximise the profile through spending as much time as possible in front of the customers.

This role is split between 70% Account management and 30% new business development and is field based.

As Commercial Administrator some of your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Prepare, maintain and achieve annual sales budgets as per your defined area.
  • Develop service and support the existing customer base whilst achieve profitable sales growth area through new customers.
  • Identify opportunities whilst developing sales goals and strategies to optimise efficiency.
  • Constantly review business within area and identify needs for distribution - improved or otherwise subject to area.
  • Make recommendations for professional distribution activities as appropriate or requested.
  • Administration, data input and data control of all Sales activities and project opportunities in the company CRM system.
  • Use Engineering systems teams to support and serve your area in the implementation of the successful sales of application solutions and systems.
  • Provide support to customers and colleagues where necessary either of a technical or commercial nature as required.
  • Self-administration and organisation, including if required to prepare quotes, annual contracts, project bids or similar correspondence for defined customers.
  • Pursue the weekly visit targets and reports as required, develop the weekly call mix as per the targets.
  • Improve knowledge on products, applications, markets and competition to improve individual sales success-rate.
  • Identify marketing needs and requirements and work with marketing manager to generate customer awareness.
  • Contribute regularly to our global knowledge database (LiveLink) in order to share information.

We are looking for an Account Manager who ideally has the following skills:

  • Ideally an Engineering degree (or equivalent) however strong industry experience will be considered.
  • Technically competent with broad product and industry knowledge.
  • Able to recognise key competitive advantages and present them technically and commercially.
  • Fully conversant and knowledgeable of all products with the company scope of supply.
  • Strong commercial knowledge and awareness.
  • Experience of control systems and instrumentation within the process industry.
  • Knowledge of either of the following, valves, flow sensors, pressure gauges, temperate gauges, PH conductivity.
  • A smart and well-presented appearance.
  • Understands, builds up and uses relationships and networks (as high as possible in the organisation)
  • Shows self-motivation, initiative, self-steering, enthusiasm, drive (fighting for and reaching the goal), agility, positive mental attitude, Empathy, Emotional intelligence, Tact and Diplomacy
  • Understands and balances different points of view
  • Adapts easily to a changing environment
  • Able to communicate to all levels of personnel.
