ACCOUNT MANAGER
Responsible to:Operations Director
Overall purpose of job:To ensure all allocated accounts are maximising spend through Datum and panel agencies and to ensure out of panel spend is managed to bewithin, or greater than targeted expectations.
To maximise all potential business opportunities for Datum and the client.
Location:Nationwide travel
Specific Duties
- Carry out a minimum of 4 client site meetings per week
- To channel all Hiring Manager vacancies through the Datum on-line portal rather than being pre-agreed and pre-filled directly with Suppliers
- Minimise and eliminate any out of panel expenditure
- Identify opportunities for Direct Sourcing for Datum
- To review, collate and report on spend and penetration levels by client location and identify areas of 'maverick: spend
- Recommend and instigate action plans to reduce and remove maverick spend in consultation with nominated client representatives
- To review panel agency performance
- To identify any agency underperformance against the agreed KPI's and address such matters in consultation with nominated client representatives
- To instigate and agree any additional selection or de-selection of suppliers based on performance and constantly monitor the supplier panel to ensure it is delivering the requirements of the business
- To address any agency underperformance (perceived or otherwise) reported by client
- To meet with nominated client representatives on a monthly basis to report and present management information and project progress
- To personally visit key locations to review supplier performance every month
- To report all findings to nominated client representatives and ensure all agreed actions are completed within agreed timescales
- To report to the Operations Director on a weekly basis on all activities carried out and plans for the following period
- To communicate / escalate any issues of immediate concern to the Operations Director
- To carry out any other duties as required to support the client throughout the process
- To ensure smooth handover to nominated deputy at times of holiday etc.
- To offer support and the sharing of knowledge with colleagues.
- To support the implementation of clients within the agreed project plan timescales
- To maximise the numbers of hours placed through the Datum Portal at all times
- To maximise all opportunities for cost savings at all times
- To identify additional business strands for Datum whenever possible
- To identify all opportunities to cross sell services offered by the Group
- To identify potential leads and opportunities within other Client partners
- To record weekly figures and ensure these are in line with project.
- To anticipate and prepare any information required by the Operations Director or Datum senior management for meetings or daily activities
- Any other duties as directed by your Line Manager
