Job Role

To deliver dry goods on time, in full (OTIF) ensuring supply to the manufacturing plan and minimising risk. To ensure that MRP system reflects agreed quantities and dates so that orders can be processed on receipt

To build strong relationships with suppliers and assist in their performance management.

Duties

• Review and set appropriate replenishment techniques to support SKUs and interfaces with daily MRP plans.
• Review MRP daily outputs to ensure MOQs and IOQs are adhered to.
• Manage MRP exception messages by exception on a daily basis.
• Place orders where there are gaps between materials requirements and suppliers ATP.
• Liaise with suppliers at above market level to resolve any ATP issues and anomalies with blanket orders volumes, escalate to the category planner if necessary.
• Ensure sufficient materials are available for call-off in accordance with the latest production schedule.
• Understand supplier process and build the relationship by regular reviews and site visits
• Confirm with suppliers that all orders are confirmed and JDE reflects agreed quantities and delivery dates
• Resolve any purchase order discrepancies ensuring paperwork can be processed on receipt
• Record supplier performance in terms of order quantity variance and responsiveness

Experience and Qualifications

• Highly Computer Literate
• Experience of MRP systems desirable
