Solder Technician

Are you a solder technician? Are you just about to finish your contract? If so, please read on.

My client is looking for experienced solder technicians to work in their expanding team on a fixed 6 month term contract. Under supervision, you would be expected to use assembly procedures and standardised work sheets build and test battery packs, whilst actively monitoring the entire work environment for out-of-revision documentation. You will also conduct tests, measurements, procedures, and/or programs as instructed, owns the responsibility for quality of work, actively pursues improvements to battery products.

You will ideally have the following skills:

• Competent at soldering (to IPC610 standard), crimping and general wiring skills, as well as detecting workmanship issues within battery Packs and cell strings.
• Very good team working and communication skills. Able to work in small teams during specific tasks.
• Ability to apply basic arithmetic operations and calculate weights and measures. Also Imperial to Metric conversions.
• Ability to think and reason to solve problems, work with accuracy, read and comprehend, use mechanical reasoning, and work well with others.
• Capable of identifying Waste in all its forms and reporting accordingly.
• Good knowledge of battery Packs and workmanship practices
