An exciting opportunity exists to join a global leading manufacturer of bespoke electro-mechanical products.

My client seek both Electrical and Mechanical Assemblers to join their team in Stonehouse through a busy period.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • Under minimal supervision, performs all assembly duties
  • Follows routings and records test measurements on PC based system.
  • Observes and reports non-conformances when detected.

PRINCIPAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under supervision, using assembly procedures and standardised work sheets build and test battery pack and/or drill heads dependant on discipline.
  • Actively monitor the entire work environment for out-of-revision documentation.
  • Conduct tests, measurements, procedures, and/or programs as instructed.
  • Understand the complete Manufacturing Process of building complex products.
  • Owns the responsibility for quality of work, actively pursues improvements to products.
  • Takes ownership of, and supports Lean and 5S improvements.

SKILLS:

  • Competent at soldering (J-Standard), crimping and general wiring skills, as well as detecting workmanship issues within battery Packs and cell strings.
  • Very good team working and communication skills. Able to work in small teams during specific tasks.
  • Ability to apply basic arithmetic operations and calculate weights and measures. Also Imperial to Metric conversions.
  • Ability to think and reason to solve problems, work with accuracy, read and comprehend, use mechanical reasoning, and work well with others.
  • Capable of identifying Waste in all its forms and reporting accordingly.
  • Electrical staff will be IPC610 qualified.

QHSE:

  • Leads the safe workplace adherence and improvements regarding all risks, such and the mitigation techniques.
  • Follows documented QHSE procedures and encourages safe working in other employees.
  • Keeps minimum QHSE training up to date.
  • Actively reports all unsafe issues and hazards observed. Follows up to ensure compliance.
  • Actively reports all SQ issues with relevant systems, and assigns losses and risks as necessary. Follows up to ensure compliance.
  • Pro-Active house-keeping is expected.

EDUCATION:

  • GSCE Level C and above (core subjects) or equivalent in experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be IPC610 qualified if working in electrical discipline.

EQUIPMENT:

  • Calculators and computers and related equipment.
  • Electronics Test and build equipment
  • Safety equipment as required.
