My client a leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery is currently looking for 2 Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a temporary basis, this could be a temp to perm opportunity for the right person. This is an opportunity suitable for experienced fitters who will ideally be time served.

Mechanical Fitter

Role overview

• Assembly/build of special purpose machinery following detailed engineering drawings
• Assembly of pneumatic and hydraulic pipework
• General machining - turning, milling and drilling
• Welding (Mig & Tig)
• Onsite commissioning and maintenance

Education/Skills

• Good Mechanical Engineering background
• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Apprenticeship served or similar with practical experience of machining & fitting
